Life: the world's most amazing animals

Extraordinary creatures from David Attenborough's 'Life' - and wherever to identify them.
Mudskipper

These exceptional fish have custom-made their gills to carry water once out of the ocean and have turned their pectoral fins into walking aids so as to measure on mud flats. they're ready to excavate underground burrows, wherever they lay their eggs, and may even jump into the air to assist attract a mate.



Where to identify them

Mudskippers is found in tropical, climatic zone and temperate region with recurrent event mud flats, as well as the Indo-Pacific and Atlantic coasts of Africa. In BBC One's Life, they were recorded in adventure story, Japan.
